Geritol Complete

I have PCOS and I have heard that taking full Geritol help me get pregnant. Is this true?

Geritol is not 100% recommended for TTC, the company that it has said it will not do anywhere that the rumor started. But you can try, but I do not actuall going to help women with PCOS and the way that will help a healthy woman. Try to ask your dr about clomid and metformin if not until

Do you think that Mercedes B. works for the company that makes the vitamin she's talking about? Because I do! Geritol is just a vitamin. How could it make you more fertile?

  • scherion

Geritol aren't nothing but vitamins, but the most it will do is make you more healthy and make it easy to conceive. Old wives' tale says "its a baby in every bottle".

    Good Luck!!!

I have always been told to wait 2 complete regular cycles before ttc after d&c. It gives your uterus time to repair itself and make a nice little place for a baby to grow. On the OPKs and HPT that I used it said that if you recently had a d&c or miscarriage it can take several weeks for your hormone levels to return to normal and can give false positives. Just be careful and good luck!

It depends on how long you have been on it, and everyone is a bit different. It can take 6 – 18 months for it to clear your system of the effects

Sorry to hear about yourloss. It sucks to have to go through anything like that. But not enough time has passed for you to even become pregnant again. And even though your bleeding has stopped, they recommend not having sex for about 2 weeks so your uterus and cervix can heal properly as it just went through a surgical proceedure. The pregnancy test you took after your D&C had positive lines because you still had pregnancy hormones in your system, and later the line was faint because the pregnancy hormone levels were going down. You could possibly still have some pregnancy symptoms, but its most likely from the change in hormonal levels that you felt nautious.

As someone who has been through multiple miscarriages and a D&C I highly recommend you take care of your body and make sure it heals properly. Make sure you go to your post-op appointment to make sure there is no scarring or remaining tissue left inside. Some women do get prgnant before they even get their next period, but it is typically adviced to wait until you have one monthly cycle before trying again.

Good luck to you though. Make sure you take care of yourself because you want to have the healthiest body possible for the next one.

Never heard of any vitamin contributing to fertility, but then again, I haven`t heard it all. Hope it works for you.

    1) Prenatal vitamins… are vitamins, not fertility pills. They prepare your body for pregnancy by making sure your baby will be getting enough folic acid and other nutrients. But they do not make you fertile.

    2) How are your periods since the depo shot? Are you regular every month? Do you know if you ovulate regularly? Some women need months, years to recover from depo. You should confirm that you do ovulate every month (having a period every month doesn't mean you're ovulating).

    3) Here's some tips on how to get pregnant faster…

    Good luck.

Instead of having sex to make a baby. . . have sex to just make love. Enjoy him and let him enjoy you. Don't make a routine out of sex. Enjoy it to the fullest and LOVE everything about him and the experience!

Don't think so. All Geritol preps have a little iron, so your stool may be darker, or even black. Doubt black, because the dose of iron is so low.

This is not a total answer but hope it helps. My aunt only had one tube after a tubal reversal and it took her 2 years to concieve. She didn't take any of these things.
I would go to a fertility specialist or any regular OB/GYN can help you by giving you a fertility drug to help you increase your chances on the ovary with the tube.

I am in my 2nd month of trying it. My sister's nursing teacher took it and became pregnant right away and so she told me about it. I hope it works for me too! I feel healthier since I started taking it, so that is a plus! There is a saying that "There is a baby at the bottom of every bottle"!!
Good luck and lots of baby dust!

In 1994 i was told by d.r. that i couldn't conceived because i has a tumor on the pituitary's gland which is some part of the brain that control your hormones. the tumor was giving me a pregnancy hormone so my body thought that i was pregnant what a sad feeling that was so i heard about gc in 2000 i started taking gc in February, in march i took a pregnancy test and it said negative so i thought that the gc didn't work. so i got sick and in the month of may i thought that it was the tumor, i call the tumor specialist to tell her that i gotten back sick every time i had to take an MRI they do a pregnancy test on me. do you know that the test came back positive hey i was pregnant. it was my first pregnancy. at first they thought i was not going to be able to carry the full term because of my condition but i did. now it's 2007 and my baby boy will be 7 years old on the 28 of December now I'm trying it again as i type you this answer i just started today 11/15/2007 and i have not gotten pregnant since i had my boy in 2000 so I'm back with the gc baby dust too you

When you're trying to conceive, you have to try to maximize your fertility. How? Consider these simple tips to maximize your fertility and to increase your chances of conceiving quickly.

    1. Have sex regularly. If you consistently have sex two or three times a week, you're almost certain to hit a fertile period at some point. There's no such thing as too much sex for healthy couples who want to conceive. BUT, don't get too much of a good thing during your fertile period can be physically and mentally draining and doesn't do much to increase your odds of conceiving.

    2. Make love on the right days. Have sex once a day near the time of ovulation. Dailyintercourse during the days leading up to ovulation may increase the odds of conception. Although this can cause a slight drop of sperm of your partner, the reduction does not affect healthy men. Remember, you're at your most fertile during the five days leading up to and the 12 hours following ovulation. If you miss this window of opportunity, it's game over! This may sound like a no-brainer, but mistimed baby making can wreak your plans to conceive.

    3. Make healthy lifestyle choices. Maintain a healthy weight, exercise regularly, eat healthfully and keep stress under control. The same good habits will serve you and your baby well duringpregnancy. You can consider preconception planningif you or your partner have any health issues. Your doctor can assess your overall health and help you identify lifestyle changes that may improve yourchances for a healthy pregnancy.

    4. Take your vitamins. Folic acid (vitamin B-9) plays an essential role in a baby's development. Taking a prenatal vitamin or folic acid supplement beginning at least one month before conception through the first trimester of pregnancy canreduce the risk of spina bifida and other neural tube defects by up to 70 percent

    5. Create a sperm-friendly vaginal environment. Avoid vaginal sprays, scented tampons and artificial lubricants, all of which may interfere with your baby making plans.

I started taking it on my last cycle and I can see changes. My CM was better, my luteal was lenghtened by one day, and I ovulated a little sooner. Also, I didn't spot before my period started. I didn't get pregnant, but with all those positive changes I still see that as progress.

This is my second cycle now so we'll see how it goes.

The sooner into your cycle you start taking it the better. If you're on your period, you're already a few days into a new cycle. I would start ASAP.

    Good luck.
