substitute for a multivitamin / multimineral?
Hello, I am a vegetarian and want to know whether spirulina is a good substitute for a multivitamin / Multimineral …….. I want a supplement that can provide me with energy throughout the day …..
Spirulina is fine, but you should not consider that for all your multivitamin / multimineral needs. And FYI Vits multi and / min do not give you energy to all. Energy derived from carbohydrates and fats. Vits / min for the body are reuired proper system operation. that helps, but do not give the body energy for themselves. Also, the body absorbs more nutrients from food. absorption of the supplements is less. Thus, spirulina drink milk, nuts, banana, curd, oranges, salad greens – (They call them food, supermarkets) to meet ur daily vit / min requiments and also provides several joules of energy.

I swear to god I was suffering from scurvy, or at least Vitamin C deficiency. I had incredible cravings for broccoli, orange juice, pineapple on pizza, potatoes. Even though citrus flavored sodas didn't have Vitamin C, I gulped them down. I wanted to live every day just eating burgers and hot dogs though. I felt like crap everyday.
I'm eating fruits now everyday, and I'm getting better. I feel better already, and the cravings have gone away.

Well first u need to be doing a good weight program, if u are doing ur weights in the mouring or early in the after noon u will proberly need just the 3 supplements a tri-blend creatine, take this b4 ur workout, whey protein isolate (WPI) not whey protein concentrate(WPC), take this strait after ur workout and u can mix it in with some fruit like a smoothy or something and just b4 u go to bed take some Casein protein powder, this is a time release protien and should be taken with milk to help slow down the absorbtion, this will give protein to ur muscles throughout the night, or if u cant afford casien WPC does basically the same thing just bit cheaper,
if u do ur weight session just b4 bed all u need is that creatine to take b4 ur session and a WPI/WPC blend to take after providing that is when u are goin to bed, also u cant bulk up if u are planning to eat junk food or have no respect for what goes in ur mouth like alcahol ect, just try and stick to natural foods this will help u more than most supplements

It is true you absorb vitamins better from a well rounded veg diet, but if you have to have a supplement I recommend this entirely vegan line, VegLife. I gave the link below. veganessentials.com also has a nice selection of vegan vitamins. Centrum is gross and uses poor quality ingredients that are not vegetarian.
