Superfoods for a week Do not Make Super?
This week I became a "super food of guinea pigs to see how I would. Well … exciting results are in. After integrating raw acai, goji berries, raw, raw cocoa, green tea, pomegranate and other berries in my diet, how I feel? Now I'm superhuman? What food items did I find? And what a super food "again?
So let's start with what is a super food. In short, is a food that is loaded with antioxidants and / or nutrients such as amino acids and omega essential fatty acids. It turns out that you may not get the benefits of these antioxidants and nutrients if they come in the form of supplements, so that everything that uses this week came premium, pure sources. This meant I had to buy all the ingredients at Whole Foods or natural food stores – I could not find these items at the supermarket.
So how do I feel? Honestly, not that I would see a noticeable difference, especially after only one week. However, I was surprised – me a great energy boost. My normal 2:00 to 3:30 in the afternoon every day drag completely disappeared. After seeing and feeling the difference with these small changes pretty easy to my diet, I am absolutely willing to make them a regular part of my day (which is another thing that totally would not believe)!
So for the first time, my breakfast "super food" smoothie. Here are the ingredients:
Goji is possibly one of the most powerful super food "known. These little berries Himalayan Mountains have more vitamin C than oranges, more beta carotene than carrots and more iron than spinach, all in 1 oz little. They have 20 trace minerals and 8 amino acids, and they have protein and soluble fiber. All that, and I can not believe how good these taste. They are like a sweet, raspberries dried, making them a good addition to smoothies, or just be eaten plain. I chose this brand because it is organic Navitas and tastes much better than other brands I tried. IMPORTANT: goji berries have been shown to interact adversely with some medications, so if you are taking medication, consult your doctor before integrating these into your diet.
If he had not heard of acai berry fruit is a reddish-purple native Central America and South America is a powerhouse of antioxidants and essential omega fatty acids. However, in promoting weight loss, no evidence scientific indicating that the acai berry is more beneficial than any of the other berries (which are all healthy). It also contains a high amount of minerals such as magnesium and iron. Navitas Naturals is a great choice because it is 100% pure, raw and organic. Now I'm using this in my smoothies and coffee. WARNING: Use a VERY small amount! This stuff is so powerful that I was nervous, bouncing off the walls after only a couple of tablespoons. Now I use 1 tbsp. both my coffee and smoothies, which is much.
Now to get information on the Quad "superfood" Smoothie I did with all these ingredients, plus blueberries (which also has lots of antioxidants), high protein, nonfat yogurt:

1 / 2 oz, goji berries (50 calories) 1 / 2 package, Sambazon acai pure (40 calories) 1 Tbsp. Navitas raw cocoa powder (30 calories) 70 grams (35 grains) fresh blueberries (20 calories) 6 ounces Oikos yogurt (90 calories) 3 packets Truvia (0 calories)
Blender: (Makes 1 serving): First take 1 / 4 cup water and place in blender. Then add the powdered goji, acai packs and cocoa (the powder absorbs water and keeps them from spraying all over the blender). Then add ice cubes, yogurt, Oikos 15. Start the blender on a slow and gradually increase speed. Pour into a glass of 16 ounces, and enjoy your super powerful antioxidant and protein milkshake!
Last, my evening dose super: decaffeinated green tea pomegranate …
Republic of tea is sweet and delicious superfood green Decaffeinated tea is more or less ever more impressive tea. Green tea is already a great antioxidant, but now the pomegranate seeds that were added to it give double the antioxidant status: Pomegranate contains powerful antioxidants, amino acids, vitamin C and potassium. Choose decaffeinated so you can enjoy a drink in the afternoon to stop attack on my late night snack (which helps, really!). Unfortunately, this tea is incredibly expensive, so I'm in search of a more cheap. Moreover, this is obviously not intended to replace eating a real grenade, so if you like and that are in season, are the best option.

Organic is suppose to be better because it doesnt have so much harsh chemicals. Places you can buy it are any organic store like Trader Joes maybe sprouts im not sure but it should be better for your hair.

You can never keep EVERYTHING intact in cooking something but it doesn't make an appreciable difference.
I think we definitely need to take care of what we eat these days. but buying organic foods isn't necessarily the answer. It's true that organic crops have to be grown to a specific standards, but have you wondered what these standards are? and what about organic eggs? and have you wondered why organic foods bought from supermarkets is worse than what you buy from your local farmers' market? and does it really make sense to buy organic oranges or potates which have been grown miles away? A good read is Michael Pollan's book The Omnivore's Dilemma – this should be read by all students before or after watching Gore's documentary.
