I've done lots of testing using Kelly Criterion in my trading. The real problem is, you cannot accuratly calculate probabilities of winning the trade, how much you will win (odds on wager), etc. I've toyed with the idea of simply putting a profit target and stop loss even distances from my entry, say .50 away, and then make the assumption that you have 50% probability of winning, and the odds are 1:1. However this is an inaccurate assumption, as your stop order will trigger immediatley when your price is hit, but the price has to go almost through your limit price before getting a fill. This means that the probability is actually less that 50%. Hope this is helpful!

I saw this stuff in the garden center at wal-mart and in the hardware store. it is a gel spike you can place in the pot and it will keep the soil moist…I tried it on my hanging basket and it worked. a cheaper way of doing the same thing is to buy unflavored gelatin, water your plants really well and add the diluted gelatin to your plants. or you could do the old time trick of putting your pots into a shallow pan of water before you leave and try and keep it out of direct sunlight if possible.

I am in a direct selling company dealing with nutrition as well – never heard of Univera, but I'll look them up.
There are three things to look for in a direct selling business:
1 – The company. Is it at least 5 years old. Most fail in their first five years, so if they've made it past that, they might last. Is it publicly traded on the stock market – even if you don't know HOW to read their books, public companies have public books, privately owned companies can go under at any moment due to no fault of the distributors. Is the product shipped directly to the customer? If you have to deliver the products (like Avon reps do), then if you move out of that county, you lose all your business, and you only have business as long as you want to drive products around – no future freedom in that.
2 – Product. Be in a company that sells a product, not a service. Too low of payout on service based companies. Make sure the product competes on QUALITY, not price. If you compete on price alone, somebody will steal your customers away soon enough – remember long distance companies offers of $50 to switch to a new carrier? Does the company MAKE it's own products? Most nutritional companies don't, and there are MANY nutritional direct selling companies! Third party evidence of quality? All of them have "in house" scientific proof of their superiority. There is only ONE nutritional direct selling company in the Physician's Desk Reference (I know it's not Univera)
3 – Compensation plan. Is it easy to understand? If not, you will have a hard time making money and keeping your downline in. The best companies are using a binary plan. It's easier to understand and makes for a teamwork approach with your downline rather than a competition between members of your own team. It also results in the highest probability of a perpetual income stream after you get it going. What is the overall payout to distributors from each dollar of product sold? (and does the compensation plan show this to be true). Are there both opportunity to earn bonuses for great performance as well as bonus for helping others succeed? Ultimately, you can only develop a sustainable income by developing your downline's businesses – is there a direct reward for doing that as well?

Hope this helps you. Good luck in your search for financial freedom. Robert Kiosaki and Donald Trump both recommend direct selling as the business plan of the future.

I’ve heard marketing hype before, but I tried out Univera Ageless Xtra, and found it hands-down better than coffee for energy, concentration, and general work productivity. And, presumably, Univera’s other products might have something to them. But then I found out something else: these products are not sold in stores, but only available through a pushy Multi-Lev–um, I mean, there is a wonderful opportunity to become CEO of your own company! Why is such a good product combined with such a …

Japanese bio engineers have succeeded in growing a tooth from cells implanted into a mouse kidney, using a technique that could create replacement organs faster than previously tested methods. Biologists have previously cultivated teeth in a laboratory and successfully transplanted them into the jaws of mice, but Japanese researchers have hailed the latest development as offering much faster growth rates. The latest method “saves about 10 days” compared to earlier techniques, said Tokyo University of Science professor Takashi Tsuji, who led the research. The poppy still flourishes, but other familiar plants are getting rare or have already disappeared Some wild flowers have already vanished from the French countryside. Pheasant’s eye, cornflower, corncockle and Venus’s looking glass are getting rare. The environment ministry is preparing a plan to preserve these plants, whose life cycle is closely linked to the harvest. “All over Europe the situation is the same, with these species in serious decline,” says Amélie Coantic, at the ministry’s wildlife department. “Out of 102 varieties identified in France, 52 are under threat and seven have already disappeared.” For thousands of years they flourished beside wheat and rye and other cereals, but they have not been able to withstand intensive farming. Although they are hardly competitive with the main crop, they have long been treated as weeds. “Widespread use of herbicides was a turning point,” says Frédéric Coulon, an agricultural engineer at Solagro, an organisation advocating…
